Now in its fourth year at Machine O Matic, the staff and owners participated in fundraising for the United Way's Tools for School program, which helps students with limited access to resources get the school supplies they need to succeed. With each consecutive year, Machine O Matic has beaten its previous goal, and this year was no exception.
"We were so proud of the staff last year when they raised over $3000. For a small team of only 22 employees, this was an outstanding achievement." says Kevin Lang, owner at Machine O Matic. "I am extremely proud to say that my team has come through once again and exceeded all our expectations."
The result? Machine O Matic's 22 staff members raised over $250 each, bringing the total amount to $5640 - over $2000 more than last year. The owners matched their staff's achievement, bringing the total donation to $11,640—all of which will support Tools for School.
"This initiative didn't simply raise money," says Lang, "it also raised the spirits of our team. It means a lot for the people here to know that kids in their own communities might stand a better chance with this support." Machine O Matic recently celebrated this achievement at their annual employee BBQ.
